The ACR Poker OSS series comes to an end with a celebration for Peter Patrício, better known as “Pitão”. The Minas Gerais native, a member of the Samba Poker team, achieved the biggest success of his career early Tuesday morning when he finished third in Event No. 01.
With his “pagodeiro31” the pro performed well in the tournament, which had a buy-in of $630 and a field of 2,222 players, according to experts. Peter took home the bronze medal and a whopping $123,934.
Peter won the tournament “Last chance” to qualify and start looking for prizes and try to stay on top until the final table is formed. But the deck played a trick on him and he collapsed and had to win important cards to stay in the game.
At the final table, Peter found a double with AQ and A3, after which he eliminated his opponent with AQ and A3. AA played against TT and took the chip lead. However, after losing a few pots, Peter was once again short of chips but continued to make important gains.
In the decisive hand, the Brazilian 5-bet went all-in with a blind bet of 1,800,000 / 3,600,000 AQ and a chip stack of 111,369,911, facing off against his opponent “CARP the Man” via QQ. Pitão couldn’t find the outs he needed on 363JT, so he finished third.
