Bold claim: a new entertainment-driven golf hotspot is landing in Okotoks, transforming how locals experience the game. The Stables, a purpose-built driving-range and social hub, is in development at D’Arcy Ranch Golf Club.
To unveil the concept, D’Arcy Ranch hosted a showcase on February 26, outlining plans for this sports-entertainment addition.
The Stables will deliver a casual, entertainment-forward golf experience reminiscent of Calgary’s LaunchPad, combining relaxed play with engaging features.
Architecturally, the facility will house 13 driving-range stalls equipped with full food-and-beverage service, plus integrated electronic games to heighten interaction.
“We’re adding a new venue to the current golf course—a community gathering space where people can explore a different form of golf and entertainment,” stated Mike Roberts, president and general manager of D’Arcy Ranch.
Inside, the building will include a restaurant and bar, with social areas both indoors and around the exterior, creating a versatile venue for casual outings and social events.
This expansion marks a first for Okotoks, designed to welcome both seasoned golfers and newcomers alike, offering a low-pressure environment to enjoy the sport.
Roberts emphasized the project’s connection to the club’s history: “The reason we’re pursuing this is to honor Jerry D’Arcy’s 35-year legacy as a community cornerstone, while broadening what D’Arcy Ranch offers to Okotoks.”
The Stables is slated to rise directly east of the clubhouse, adjacent to the driving range, shaping a new focal point for the property.
Club officials plan to file building applications in the coming months and aim to break ground in the fall. If all goes well, The Stables could welcome guests in spring 2027.
