The Senate has officially confirmed that the Tax Reform Laws remain unaltered. President Godswill Akpabio, Senate President, announced this during a plenary session, asserting that the current versions of the Acts in the National Assembly are identical to those passed by both chambers and signed into law by President Bola Tinubu. This clarification addresses any lingering doubts about the integrity of the legislation. The Senate's action in May last year, with the House of Representatives' concurrence, resulted in the passage of tax reform bills as separate legislations. President Tinubu assented to these bills in June, further solidifying their legal status. To ensure transparency, President Tinubu directed the Clerk of the Senate, Emmanuel Odo, to distribute certified copies of the Acts to all senators for thorough review.
