Pikmin Bloom is approaching its 3.5-year anniversary, and to celebrate, Niantic is excited to announce a new event starting on May 1st!
Over the years, we’ve met a variety of unique Decor Pikmin donning iconic Nintendo products, such as Playing Cards, Mahjong Tiles, and more. This May, we’ll be meeting a new set of Decor Pikmin wearing parts of classic Nintendo game consoles from the ’80s and ’90s. Whether you’ve played on these consoles before or are encountering them for the first time, this is a great opportunity to reminisce happy memories or marvel at the technology of the time!
Additionally, we’ll also see the debut of Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin. Pay attention to the design of these cards, which is inspired by the classic playing cards deck from Nintendo. Join us in celebrating these retro consoles by adding the Nintendo Game Consoles ’80-’95 Decor Pikmin to your squad and enjoy your strolls with these nostalgic companions!

Clear Event Challenge missions to obtain seedlings for Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin!
For every Event Challenge mission that you clear, you’ll be able to obtain rewards at random. These can be Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, flower petals, or other items. Additionally, when the Big Flower at the center of the stage blooms, you’re guaranteed to receive a Gold Seedling on top of the random rewards.
Missions for the event will be published here on the day the event starts – stay tuned!
Seedlings obtained by clearing Event Challenge missions will grow into any of the 7 available types for Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin. Please note that you’ll meet them at random and are not guaranteed to complete the whole set.

When you purchase a Premium Event Pass, you’ll be able to enjoy the following perks for the duration of the event (May 1 through 31):
For every stage cleared, you’ll receive extra seasonal nectar that you can put to good use in order to clear event-related tasks!
When you clear the 4th stage, you will receive an additional Gold Seedling for your desired color (red, yellow, blue, purple, white, pink, or gray) of Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin. This applies to the 4th stage and any subsequent stages that are a multiple of 4 (8th, 12th, 16th, etc).
- The Event Premium Pass is available to users from Lv20 onwards.
- The Event Premium Pass won’t be displayed to users at or below Lv19. -Event Premium Pass rewards apply retroactively for cleared Event Challenge missions, regardless of when you obtain it at the shop.

Event Premium Pass purchases within the first week of the event (until May 7, 23:59 local time) will include Game Button Cells as a bonus. Please note the early bird bonus will no longer be available after the first week of the event.
Clear Event missions to obtain Mii costumes and seedlings for Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin
At the start of the event, you will receive missions to collect Game Button Cells. By clearing them, you will be able to obtain event-specific costumes for your Mii and seedlings for Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin.
Game Button Cells can be obtained as Event Challenge rewards, from flower planting, from Mystery Boxes received when destroying Brilliant Mushrooms, and with the purchase of an Event Premium Pass, a limited-time bundle pack, or a Web Store Exclusive Bundle Pack. Once the event ends, the Game Button Cells missions will disappear. Please note that the Game Button Cells have no purpose outside of this event.
Destroy Brilliant Mushrooms to get Mystery Boxes containing Game Button Cells!
During the event, you may encounter Brilliant Mushrooms. When you destroy them, you’ll receive Mystery Boxes that contain items such as Game Button Cells, flower petals, and other items! Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin are the strongest against these mushrooms, so be sure to send them out to destroy them!
Additionally, on weekends, you may encounter Giant Brilliant Mushrooms that contain a rare type of Mystery Box. On these weekends, the Mushroom Battle Bullhorn will be available for use up to 3 times a day, too! Team up with your friends to destroy some mighty mushrooms together!
⚫️Giant Brilliant Mushrooms will appear on the following weekends:
- May 3 & 4
- May 10 & 11
- May 17 & 18
- May 24 & 25
- May 31
During the event, Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 and Playing Card Decor Pikmin (all types) will be slightly stronger than usual against all types of mushrooms.
If you receive a call via a Mushroom Battle Bullhorn to a Brilliant Mushroom before the event has started in your timezone, you will be able to join the battle and help destroy the mushroom. The Mystery Box you receive as a reward will be the one for the Nintendo Consoles Event.
If you join a Brilliant Mushroom battle after the event is over in your timezone, you won’t receive a Mystery Box.

The mission must be completed by July 31, 2025 at 23:59.
Special Mission Ticket: Playing Card (14 types): When you purchase this ticket and clear the dedicated mission, you’ll obtain a gold seedling in your desired color (red, yellow, blue, purple, white, pink, or gray) and type of Playing Card Decor Pikmin. The types available are the Clubs Suit and Joker. The mission must be completed by July 31, 2025 at 23:59.
Gold Seedlings obtained from inviting friends and family to play Pikmin Bloom between May 1st and May 31st will grow into any of the 7 available types of Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, White, Winged or Rock Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin.
