Pacific Notes: Garland, Coleman, Saad

The Vancouver Canucks are set to welcome back forward Conor Garland in the near future, according to Thomas Drance of The Athletic. Garland, 29, has been sidelined since December 30th due to an upper-body injury, but his absence hasn't gone unnoticed. Despite missing games, Garland remains a key player, ranking fourth on the team in scoring with seven goals and 22 points in 33 games, averaging nearly 20 minutes of ice time per night.
The Canucks' struggles without Garland are evident. Since his injury, the team has only managed a 0-2-2 record in their last four games, and they're on a streak of six straight losses, including a recent defeat to the Toronto Maple Leafs. This highlights the importance of Garland's return to the lineup.

- The Calgary Flames are dealing with a minor injury to Blake Coleman, a prized trade deadline candidate. According to Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet, Coleman will be out for a few days with an upper-body injury. This day-to-day issue could be a blessing for the Flames, as they consider trading the 34-year-old forward at the deadline. Coleman has been productive this season, with 13 goals and 21 points in 44 games.
- The Vegas Golden Knights' forward Brandon Saad won't be available for tonight's game due to an undisclosed injury, as reported by SinBin. Saad, a two-time Stanley Cup champion, has contributed two goals and seven points in 39 games, averaging 13:53 of ice time in a bottom-six role.
