Two Ba Rugby players, Ponipate Bacaivalu and Meli Tuvusa, are set to join the Chennai Bulls for the Coral Coast 7s tournament in Fiji. This exciting development comes as a result of a collaboration between the Bulls and Ba Rugby Union, with the players set to join after a clinic at Ba Methodist High School next Tuesday. The clinic is aimed at inspiring young players aged 12 to 18 who participated in the Nadi Junior 7s last month.
This partnership is just the beginning of a series of initiatives between the two rugby bodies. Ba Rugby Union secretary, Gaby Kautoga, expressed delight at the Bulls' willingness to come to Ba and share their expertise. Head Coach Ben Gollings, who led the Fiji 7s team, is eager to work with the players and share his knowledge and experience. The Bulls' squad already includes four Indian national team players, and this trip will offer valuable exposure to the highest level of 7s rugby.
The Chennai Bulls are in Pool C, alongside Dominion Brothers, Mike Friday Select, and USA 7s.
